Great food, great value
The young waitress there tonight was very rude and inhospitable. The pork bulgogi had a thick layer of oil on the bottom and the pork was thickly cut, rubbery and very fatty with little to no actual meat on it. There were also all these added vegetables that werent traditional for a pork bulgogi. Plus they were charging $17.90 for this dish without rice. Very disappointed and I can see why this restaurant is always empty. I did complain to the owner who was very nice and said I didnt have to pay - I couldnt eat it it was that bad. They should fire that terrible young waitress and just focus on fresh tradional fresh Korean dishes like the many ones they have close-by in the city.I should have know it was going to be bad when I saw Mongolian Lamb on the menu and the when the Kim chi they served with the dish was just shredded cabbage.
We have been going to the restaurant for years. The service and the food were always great. However, tonight when we went there, there was a new waitress. She was really unfriendly and bit of rude actually. Her attitude was not warm and welcoming at all. Felt like walking on egg shells.
Young staff member chatting up a storm with the table next to us, ignoring us. We heard her loudly telling them not to order dessert in the resturant and instead was talking for a good 5 minutes about her own favourite dessert places in Newtown. The table was sticky and when we asked her to clean it she took so long the owner came out to do it instead. She got our order wrong, we said it was ok. We waited a long while and the owner remade our dish to the correct order. The food itself was good, hot and tasty. We also were charged more than the menu listed prices.Honestly the only problem was that waitress, I feel sorry for the owner and feel bad for leaving a low review but maybe he will see it and replace her.
Great little place. Unexpectedly good ambience for a place in the middle of not much else on Parramatta road. Large servings which suit sharing. Not cheap for Korean food but good quality, authentic and delicious. Staff were friendly. Food took a while to come and it wasnt busy (on a Wednesday night).
